Ranking 3rd all-time with 9 Championships, the Oakland Athletics are always in the mix when it comes to the post-season. In the 70's, they ran off 3 straight World Series titles with the likes of Reggie Jackson, Vida Blue, Rollie Fingers & Catfish Hunter. In the 80's the A's were led by Hall of Famers Rickey Henderson, Dennis Eckersley & tonly La Russa, and then came the Bash Brothers of the late 80's / early 90's - Jose Canseco & Mark McGwire - and appeared in 3 straight World Series from 1988 - 1990, winning the championship in 1989. In 1997 the Swinging A's hired Billy Beane as their GM, thus beginning the Money Ball era.
