Affectionally referred to as the Blake Street Bombers for their tendency to smash home runs, the Colorado Rockies have had a nice measure of success since coming in to the league in 1993. Named after the teams proximity to the Rocky Mountains, the Rox started out playing their home games at Mile High Stadium until Coors Field opened in 1995, making their first Wild Car appearance in that same year. In 2007 they made it to the World Series facing off against a hot Red Sox team that swept them in 4 games. So many great names played for the Rockies over the years - Todd Helton, Vinny Castilla, Larry Walker, Andres Galarraga and Dante Bichette all inspired fear in the hearts of pitchers when they came to bat.
